Many bloggers have been posting about Project Life and I've been really inspired by their beautiful work. While many Project Lifers structure their project by weeks, I find that process much too restrictive. (That's why I haven't been posting on a weekly basis). Some days I have multiple pictures I want to include. And other days it's simply a quote or song lyric. So, I decided to wait until I had an entire month completed to share my progress. Just like last year, I'm still 100% in love with PL. The POTD challenges me to think outside the box, it captures everyday moments that otherwise would have been undocumented, and it's reinvigorated me to scrapbook traditional layouts. Check out my title page. Okay, here is January:
Studio Calico featured a challenge of writing yourself a letter. My letter expressed my goals and resolutions for the upcoming year. It has strict instructions not to be opened until January 1, 2013!
My OLW for 2012 is 'BE'. I didn't want to make a whole project centered around my OLW but I felt it needed to be honored in my PL. Using Ali's template (thanks Alison!), I wrote a little about 'be' and how I plan to use it in 2012.
I really like using the folded 3x4 cards as a larger journaling card because, let's face it, some stories can't be condensed into a 3x4 card!
I don't always use the date cards. Usually I put one in if I need some filler. I've also been incorporating a lot of quotes into PL.
Love saving notes from Mark.
Missed a POTD? Journal about your most recent netflix shows.
I'm going to try to do more 'currents' entries as well through out the year. Would love to purchase these but created something similar. Also, you can see my bright orange post-it. I've found the best way to organize my PL is write the date and event/picture you want in that slot. I've seen others do it different (like this) but it's really about finding a system that works for you.
